teen encounter information

HSE conferences are cloistered events. It is necessary to attend all aspects of the conference. We encourage on-time arrival and staying until dismissal on Sunday. If you are unable to attend the full conference, please plan to attend at another time.

***Dinner is not served Friday evening. Please eat before arriving in the Rome area or neighboring town.***

What to Bring?

• Personal Toiletry Items and Towels
• CPAP and Electronic devices - please bring an extension cord for any necessary electronic device

• Modest Comfortable Clothing - dress is casual (jeans & t-shirts). If wearing activewear we require longer shirts be worn, we discourage loungewear.  Please bring appropriate outerwear and comfortable shoes.

• Flashlight - Flashlights are recommended for nighttime use, when sharing a room with other guests who may be asleep.

• Umbrella - for outdoor transitions between buildings.

• Bible - while we recognize many people use Bible apps on their mobile devices, we encourage guests to limit use to fully engage in their Encounter.

• Water bottle and/or Coffee Mug

Due to allergies, we ask that you avoid wearing perfumes, colognes, strongly scented lotions, or using diffusers during the weekend.

Life Church in northwest Rome GA has been gracious to open their church for HSE to continue our Conferences while we are transitioning between facilities.

Participants are housed in rooms with approximately 2-4 guests in each room. Special needs accommodations are available upon request EMAIL US. (Housing is included in the registration fee)

We work to accommodate roommate request with the exception of guests and servers, as they do not typically share room accommodations.
